Physical fitness and athleticism have always been a major focus in my life— even before becoming a coach.

But it wasn’t until sustaining chronic back injuries in my thirties that I saw first hand how difficult life can be with real physical limitations.

Months of rehabilitation to come back from these injuries shifted the focus of my continuing education and training practice forever.

I discovered a real passion for helping people overcome injury, manage pain, and regain the freedom of movement and sense of physical resilience most of us experience in our youth.

There’s this prevailing idea that as you get older, you’ll have to make peace with losing some degree of physical function and comfort. But thanks to advances in modern exercise and pain science, we know that’s only true if you do nothing about it.

Most people are surprised to learn that positive adaptations can be made regardless of age, and these outcomes are actually within our control.

Movement optimism and resistance training saved my life.

And helping other folks experience life changing results has become one of the primary joys in my work.
